Before You Enroll

No prior experience is needed for the Foundation Course or the Wallet and Accessories Bundle. Both are structured with the assumption that you have never worked with leather before. The Belt Making and Tooling courses assume familiarity with basic cutting and stitching, so completing the Foundation Course first is helpful.

Each course includes a detailed materials and tools list before you begin. For the Foundation Course, a modest starter set of five to six tools is sufficient. The full list with notes on which items have acceptable budget alternatives is provided as part of the course materials.
