About the Instructor
The courses at Xeyixo Kenexe are developed and taught by a leatherworker who came to the craft as a hobbyist and spent years working through the same questions that our students encounter. Not a factory-trained artisan. Not someone who learned from a formal apprenticeship. Someone who learned by making things, making mistakes, and figuring out why.
That background shapes how the curriculum is written. The explanations tend to be longer than you might find elsewhere, because understanding why a technique works matters as much as knowing how to execute it. The tool recommendations are specific because we have used the tools at multiple price points and formed genuine opinions about which ones serve beginners well.
